Arrange Cover for Lessons
Use the Teacher Cover Timetable to arrange cover for an absent teacher's lessons.
This function is only available when teachers are marked as absent for the date selected.

To arrange cover from the Teacher Cover Timetable, follow the steps below:
Open the Cover Manager module.
Either: Select the Manage Cover tab. or Select the Cover Status tab.
Select the Teacher Cover Timetable from the right hand menu. Today's date is displayed, by default.
Use the arrow and calendar buttons available to change the date displayed, if required.
Use the division filters in the header, if configured to be available, to filter the information shown.
Click on a lesson which requires cover (lessons requiring cover are red, covered lesson are green, lessons where the teacher is not absent are blue).
A number of tabs are displayed, each listing teachers available to cover the lesson selected (unless otherwise stated):
Click either:
Cover Not Required in the bottom right of the window if no cover is needed for the lesson. or Select the most suitable teacher for cover.
Each teacher's cover rating is shown next to their name to assist you.
See below for an explanation of the information displayed for each teacher:
Click + On your selected teacher to cover the lesson.
Click to expand Cover Options and complete the sections available to add further detail to the cover record (this is optional).
Cover Options are displayed in the Cover Breakdown option when you are ready to review cover arrangements.

Either:
Click Save Cover. or Click Save Cover & Next to arrange cover for another lesson. or Click Save as All to allocate the selected teacher to cover all unallocated periods for the day.
If periods have been allocated to other teachers already, these are not overridden.
You are prompted to confirm your selection.
